If you have another person who can record you, all you need to do is:

1. Practice with the Sing-Along video a few times (Katie plays an introduction, so wait until she starts singing to sing-along)

2. Plug earphones into your device so only you can hear the piano part

3. Ask someone to record you singing

4. Email the recording to me

1. Forgiveness of others

2. Confidence in Jesus. (Lack of doubt)

3. Confessed sin

4. Cleansing of unresolved guilt

5. Choose God to avoid bad consequences

6. Be in God's will

7. Ignore what the earthly circumstances look like

8. Have compassion

9. Have faith

10. Ask; be tenacious in asking.

11. Obey

12. Do not speak fear (2 Timothy 1:7)

13. Rest in the hope that Jesus is walking with you

Question A2 asked us the difference between Healing & Saving.

Healing can be psychological or physical. It can be major or minor, not necessarily life-threatening. Biblical healing symbolizes a new beginning with spiritual forgiveness along with physical healing. A dynamic duo.

Saving is an act of prevention of death. A spiritual or earthly death.

Biblically it soul salvation.

Jeremiah 17:14 says "Heal me O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me and I shall be saved; for you are the One I praise.

Healing verses include:

Mark 6:56                         Mt 8: 14-15    

Mt 8:13                           Isaiah 53:4-6

2 Kings 20:5                     Malachi 4:2

Mt 9: 20-22                     Mt 9:6-7

In the Bible when you lookup save the dictionary directs you to salvation - not physical healing.

Healing begins:

With a spirit of righteousness

Healing only comes in Jesus name

Healing requires grace & faith. Eph 2:8

Paul reminds us that though we may be at the end of our rope; we are never at the end of our hope.

Virtual Choir Technical Instructions - Windows and Phone

To participate in a virtual choir, you will need two devices -- a phone and a computer, or two phones, or a phone and a tablet, etc.

These are instructions for a phone and a Windows computer:

1. Print the 'It Is Well With My Soul' Hymn sheet and keep it handy: https://hymnary.org/media/fetch/96195

2. Open your email on your phone and find the 'testing' link that I sent

3. Plug in your earphones and listen to the 'testing' link through your phone

On Windows:

1. In the search bar in the lower left corner, type "camera" and press ENTER

2. Set camera to video instead of photographs

3. Click the Video Camera to start recording

4. The screen looks like this while recording: 

(Press the red STOP button to end the recording)

5. After recording, review your video by clicking the picture in the lower-right side:

6. After you finish reviewing your recording, click the "..." button in the top right corner.

Then click OPEN FOLDER

7. Find the file location in the space circled in red: Select and copy it, by highlighting the whole file path and then using the buttons CTRL-C to copy it.

8. Then open whatever email program you use, attach the video and send it back to me.

Closing Prayer

Lord we thank you for blessing us with the freedom and opportunity to come together as a group of believers to learn and discuss about your healing powers and miracles.

Father we ask now to touch us with that same power.  Fill us with the healing power of your Holy Spirit.

Cast out anything that should not be in us.  Mend what is broken.  Let the warmth of your healing love pass through our bodies to make new any unhealthy areas so that our bodies will function the way you created them to function. 

Father help us to feel Jesus comfort, love, peace, healing to restore to full health our minds, our bodies, our emotions, and our souls so that we may serve and follow you the rest of our lives.  Remind us to always remember you are our healer, to praise you and to give you all the glory as you walk closer with us through our storms and you help us reach our resurrection day when we will be joined with you …we ask through Christ Our Lord. Amen.

Here is the info that Elaine presented to the group about "Jesus The Teacher":

Jesus an effective teacher:

Why Jesus was effective as a teacher is a great thing for all of us to ponder. 

I am going to share 12 points as to why I believe Jesus was effective:

1. He spent time in prayer to God. He knew how important it was to talk with his Father and find rest and refreshment for his spirit to do God’s will.

2. He spoke with authority. Jesus is the word of God, and when we understand Jesus, we understand God‘s heart and God‘s will. Every word he spoke was absolute truth.

3. He was fully God and was omniscient so he could look at the peoples' hearts and know what their motives were. 

4. Jesus was also fully man so he felt all the emotions we feel, and understood the need for both physical and spiritual healing. 

5. He did incredible miracles that opened the door for people to acknowledge he was the long awaited Messiah. 

6. He was authentic and genuine in reflecting God’s amazing grace, compassion, and love. He practiced what he preached!  Everyone who had faith to believe the truth that Jesus spoke received healing. As God incarnate, Jesus visibly demonstrated all the attributes of God. This is why he was an effective teacher, because his life was filled with the fruit of the spirit and people wanted that fruit in their lives!

7. He used warnings in his teaching. Jesus was completely committed to God’s will to execute the plan of reconciliation, and warned the people to repent as the kingdom of heaven was at hand. He did not mince words, but often angered and humiliated the self-righteous Pharisees. 

8. He was informal in his teaching approach. No pretense, just true humility.  

9. He often shared God‘s principles through parables. The people could understand these simple stories and would share them with others to spread the gospel.

10. He referenced everyday objects and experiences to share God’s truth that the people could relate to such as oil lamps, trees, birds, flowers, sowing seeds, working for your employer, tending sheep, etc.

11. He asked questions to make them think.

In Luke 8: 25 he asked “Where is your faith?” to the disciples who feared the raging storm to show them God is Sovereign over all creation and can calm any storm. 

In Luke 8: 45 "Who touched me?” when the woman bleeding for 12 years touched the hem of his garment. 

In Luke 9:20 when Jesus asked his disciples “Who do you say that I am?” 

12. He reached out to all people including the poor, the marginalized, and women because his message of hope is for everyone. God has no favorites!  He preached that position, money and power are not important in God‘s kingdom. What matters is faithful obedience from the heart, not legalistic outward obedience in order to look good to others.

As his disciples, we need to emulate these characteristics to also be effective in our ministry & outreach to fulfill the great commission to be his witnesses and share the Good News!
